Former George Dickel Master Distiller John Lunn left to work in the same role at the Popcorn Sutton Distillery, reported The Tennessean on Tuesday.
The Newport distillery, located west of Knoxville and named for the famed moonshiner, announced hiring Lunn on Monday, the same day as his departure from George Dickel.
Lunn had been employed at George Dickel for 11 years, 10 of them as Master Distiller. Dickel parent company Diageo has announced they are searching for a replacement for Lunn.
