The funeral for Kyle Rogers, who died on Monday as a result of injuries sustained in the April 24 fire and explosion at Silver Trail Distillery, located in Kentucky’s Land Between The Lakes region.
Rogers, aged 27, was working as distiller at Silver Trail. He had previously worked as a sports writer for two newspapers in Western Kentucky.
Reportedly the distillery suffered major equipment failure, leading to an fiery explosion when Kyle and Jay Rogers opened the door to the still house.
Silver Trail Distillery is a maker of legal moonshine operated by Spencer Ballantine, best known as the “legal guy” who appeared in the second season of Discovery Channel’s Moonshiners.
