Four Roses Plans $55 Million Expansion

The Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority approved a $1.15 million tax incentive for a $55.1 million expansion project for Four Roses Distillery on Thursday, May 28.

Four Roses is owned by the Japanese Kirin Company, best known for their beer. The investment project is divided into a $34.13 million expansion of the Lawrence County, Kentucky distillery and a $21 million project to expand the bottling line and erect new warehouses in Bullitt County. Combined, the two projects would add 45 jobs.

Approved at the same time by the Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority was an addition tax incentive for Rabbit Hole Spirits, who plan to open a micro-distillery on Jefferson Street in Louisville’s NuLu district.
