The Macallan has announced that its premium no age statement (NAS) single malt, Rare Cask, will now be available in the UK.
The Macallan Rare Cask was originally released in October 2014, exclusively for the American market. Billed as a showcase for what a fine single malt whisky can be without an age statement, the whisky was crafted using 16 carefully selected American and Spanish casks. In the United States the whisky was priced at $300, and the recommended price point in the UK will be £200.
