Bulleit Tops At Top Bars

Bulleit Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey has been announced as the bestselling and most trending American Whiskey brand of 2015 in some of the world’s best bars, according to survey results shared today by Drinks International Magazine’s annual “World’s 50 Best Bars – Annual Report 2016.”

This is the first year Bulleit has appeared on the list, as the brand made concentrated efforts to launch in more than 40 new markets over the last two years.  Bulleit also continues to see strong growth in its home market in the United States where Bulleit Bourbon is the fastest-growing non-flavored North American Whiskey and Bulleit Rye is the bestselling rye in the U.S.

“This honor is particularly special because it was awarded by the very people who’ve helped us build this brand since the beginning – our partners in chemistry and the true captains of our industry, the amazing bartenders around the world,” said Tom Bulleit, Founder of The Bulleit Distilling Co. “Ever since I quit my law career in 1987 to pursue this entrepreneurial bourbon journey, I’ve sought advice and counsel from my friends behind the bar because they are the ones serving it on a nightly basis.  The fact they’ve responded so favorably to our whiskeys is truly humbling.”

This in-depth and dedicated 56-page report reveals the bestselling, and most trending spirit brands of the year in each drinks category as voted by the best bars and bartenders worldwide.  In 2015, these votes came from a total of 100 of the top bars in the world, as voted for by Drinks International World’s 50 Best Bars Academy.  Respondents were spread throughout the world, from the U.S. and Europe to South America, Africa, Asia and Australia.
“Bulleit’s rise to become the No.1 American Whiskey in the world’s best bars has been meteoric,” said Hamish Smith, editor of the World’s 50 Best Bars. “Classic whiskey cocktails are still very much en vogue and Bulleit’s high rye content, has made it a popular choice for cocktails such as the Old Fashioned and Manhattan.”
Momentum will continue for Bulleit in 2016 as work progresses on the $115 million Bulleit Distilling Co. distillery in Shelbyville, Kentucky, located between Louisville and Lexington.  The brand is also one of the newest stops on the famed Kentucky Bourbon Trail via the The Bulleit Frontier Whiskey Experience at the famed Stitzel-Weller Distillery in Louisville’s Shively district..
