Edrington, the drinks company that owns The Macallan and The Famous Grouse, will close its Perth office and establish a new headquarters in Glasgow. The move will involved transferring some staff currently working out of the company’s existing facility in western Glasgow, as well as moving staff from the closed Perth office. However, the closure and transfers will ultimately terminate as many as 21 net jobs at Edrington from both sites.
The new headquarters site has not been chosen yet, but the move is planned to take place in early 2017.
The move is intended to bring all of the company’s executive board, financial, legal, corporate affairs, human resources, global operations management staff under one roof, as well as some of its information technology staff. Edrington’s other facilities will not be affected by the move.
