Redemption Releasing Its First-Ever Bourbon Whiskeys

Following limited-edition rye whiskey releases in December 2015, Deutsch Family Wine & Spirits brand Redemption Whiskey is building on its portfolio with a first-ever series of barrel proof Bourbon and High Rye Bourbon bottlings. This series introduces three new limited-edition expressions: Straight Rye Whiskey (Aged 8 years), Straight Bourbon (Aged 9 years) and High Rye Bourbon (Aged 9 years).

The Redemption Aged Barrel Proof selections are distinguished by their mash bills: Straight Rye (95% rye, 5% barley), Bourbon (75% corn, 21% rye, 4% barley), and High Rye Bourbon (60% corn, 36% rye, 4% barley). The expressions have been aged between 8-9 years in charred new oak barrels, and each whiskey is minimally filtered before being bottled immediately at full proof. All three whiskies were awarded Double Gold medals at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2016.

The new 8 year old Straight Rye is bottled at 122.2 proof. The brand new cask strength, 9 year old High Rye Bourbon is a 109.2 proof whiskey, and the standard, cask strength 9 year old Bourbon is a 110.6 proof whiskey. All three will retail for $99.99.

Redemption Whiskey is distilled in Indiana and bottled in small batches in Bardstown, KY, with each batch and bottle number hand-written on every label.
