Seattle’s Westland Distillery, one of the leaders in the burgeoning category of American malt whiskey, has released the latest in its single cask series, Cask #3824. This whiskey was made from Westland’s standard, signature five-malt mashbill and aged in a new white oak barrel before receiving a three month finish in an old rum cask. 150 bottles of this whiskey are available as a distillery-only release, and they went on sale yesterday.
