Nashville’s Corsair Explanding/Moving Yet Again

By Richard Thomas

Corsair Artisan Distilling started out in Bowling Green, Kentucky before opening a second facility down in Nashville. Then in December 2015, Corsair opened a second and then a third facility in Nashville, shifting their center of gravity to the Tennessee capital. Now Corsair is expanding again, adding a new facility that will allow for further reorganization of their operations.

The new facility in Marathon Village is where Popcorn Sutton Distilling used to operate, prior to moving operations to Newport, Tennessee a couple of years ago. It therefore already has the infrastructure for distilling operations, and is in some ways better than Corsair’s existing Marathon Village facility. The new space has higher ceilings, for example, allowing for the use of bigger and better equipment. Corsair’s plan is to turn their existing Marathon facility into a straight taphouse, and transfer most distilling operations to the old Popcorn Sutton place.
