Sweden’s first whisky distillery, Mackmyra, has launched Expedition, a limited edition Swedish single malt whisky produced exclusively for the travel retail market. Expedition was mostly matured in bourbon casks, with some contribution of whisky aged in Mackmyra’s signature Swedish oak casks as well. The latter have held Swedish cloudberry wine for some months, giving the whisky a uniquely double Swedish mark.
“Expedition reflects Mackmyra’s Swedishness and originality,” says Lisa Collins, travel retail manager at Mackmyra. “The travel retail market is huge, and with this unique, exclusive product, we are taking our first steps out into that global market”
Mackmyra Expedition is available in 500 ml bottles at 46% ABV for approximately €60
