Bulleit To Add A Multi-Million Dollar Visitors Center

It’s been several months since Bulleit cut the ribbon on their $115 million Shelbyville, Kentucky plant, located between Louisville and Lexington. However, access to the new facility has been limited. Whereas most new distilleries are built with tourism in mind, and sometimes open to visitors even before going operational, Bulleit remains closed to the general public. Even for journalists, access is tightly controlled. If you want Bulleit tourism, you must go to the defunct Stitzel-Weller Distillery in Louisville.

Bulleit’s parent company Diageo now wants to rectify that. The company announced late last week that it would invest $10m in a visitors center at the Bulleit plant, adding 30 jobs to the workforce there.
