The Tipperary Boutique Distillery project has secured €5m in funding from a partnership deal with Steelworks Investments. The company is currently a bottler, relying on sourced Irish Whiskey, but has had plans to build its own distillery on the grounds of the Dundrum House Hotel Golf & Leisure Resort. They are now able to pursue those plans, which would bring whiskey-making back to Tipperary after a 200-year absence.
