With so many different cocktail glasses, it’s hard to remember what drink goes where and, as long as you’re enjoying your drink, it doesn’t matter. That’s not the case with the Moscow Mule and its siblings. Even if people are unfamiliar with what exactly goes into a mule, there is no mistaking it with another cocktail, all thanks to the shiny beauty of the copper mule.

Whether you are a fan of the original Moscow Mule, the Kentucky Mule, or even the London Mule, there is something satisfying about picking up a mug rather than a glass. The copper mug is part of the experience, not just the ingredients (and, sure, you want good ingredients) plus it’s guaranteed to be the most unique cocktail at the table or bar.

Copper mugs can be found just about anywhere these days, but none that I’ve owned or used have held up to the high quality of Moscow Muled’s mugs. Founded in 2016, Moscow Muled is a company specializing in copper mugs, taking every measure to craft the best mug. Their research and devotion to copper mules certainly shows in the quality of the mugs.

What Makes This Mug Different Than Others?
Moscow Muled mugs are 100% pure copper, safe for food and work perfectly for the mule cocktail as well as other beverages. I’ve seen some mugs also have a copper interior but that can be potentially dangerous. Moscow Muled lines their mugs with high-quality nickel, which is much safer. Copper can react with acidic fluids that cause a chemical reaction. This can lead to someone drinking copper and ingesting too much can have a dangerous outcome. A nickel interior makes consuming liquids safer and can also increase the durability of the mug as copper is a soft metal and can become damaged after too much use.

All the mule mugs are handcrafted, utilizing traditional methods. This means every mug will be unique in its own way. The handles are also welded to the mug, preventing any leaks. Taking care of the mug couldn’t be any easier, just use warm water, soap and a soft sponge or cloth. It’s probably best not to put them in the dishwasher as that could end up ruining your mug. Naturally, the copper will eventually patina. This can be a nice effect but if you prefer to keep your mug shiny, just rub a pinch of salt and some lemon on the surface. All care-taking information can be found on their Moscow Muled under FAQ’s.

Mugs hold 16 oz, a good amount for any mule and are a joy to hold.

Is It Worth Purchasing The Moscow Muled Mug?
The answer is yes. If you are a fan of Moscow Mules, then this is the mug to own. I’ve seen mugs with copper outside and inside, mugs with painted copper, mugs with handles that eventually come loose, the whole works and by far, Moscow Muled mugs are the best. They are long-lasting and of the highest quality. Despite being primarily used for mules, these are good for anything your heart desires and your drinks will stay cold for a good long while.

Not only are these mugs an outstanding product, but Moscow Muled also donates part of their profit to non-profit organizations. What better way to enjoy a cocktail than knowing that what you spent is being used to make the world a better place.
