Kentucky’s Boone County Distilling Releasing 12 Year Old Single Barrel

By Richard Thomas

Boone County Distilling, situated in the Cincinnati metro area in Northern Kentucky, is poised to release a 12 Year Old Single Barrel and Barrel Proof version of their flagship bourbon, 1833 10 Year Old.

Boone County Distilling’s 1833 10 Year Old Bourbon is based on increasingly unavailable aged stock made at what is now MGP back in the days prior to it even being known as LDI. This two year older, single barrel and cask strength version (a bottling seen by me was 106.58 proof). The 1833 12 Year Old will be available only to Boone Distilling’s existing retail partners in Kentucky as a private barrel bottling, with a suggested retail price of $74.99. The distillery has retained a barrel of their own, and bottlings of 1833 12 Year Old will be available through the distillery gift shop for $80.
