First Booker’s Of 2022 Out
The first batch of Booker’s Bourbon for 2022 is out, and it has been dubbed “Ronnie’s Batch.” The namesake for this release is Ronnie Land, a veteran employee at Jim Beam’s Clermont and Boston, Kentucky facilities. Over his 40 year career at Beam, Land worked his way up to Warehouse Manager. If that doesn’t sound like much, keep in mind that the person managing the warehouses is the person who keeps an eye on maturing whiskey. In some outfits, that job is considered peer to the person running the stillhouse.
This is one of the oldest batches of Booker’s to come out in recent years, at 6 years, 11 months and 22 days. Remember that Booker’s was originally billed as 6 to 8 years old back in the 1990s, when the brand was launched and the heyday of “Small Batch Bourbon.” It’s been a long time since Bookers was in the 7 year zone, but this one is short of that by a matter of days. The proof came out at 124.3 this time around, and the MSRP is holding steady at $89.99.
