Well-known as the world’s oldest licensed whiskey distillery, Bushmills has rolled out the second round of its Private Reserve Limited Release vintage single malt whiskey series. The new Private Reserve limited releases will consist of four vintage single malts whiskeys, each aged in a combination of sherry and bourbon casks before maturing in a unique third cask. This includes two 10 year olds (respectively finished in Amarone Casks and, Moscatel Casks) and two 12 year old single malts (respectively finished in Bordeaux Casks, and Tequila Casks). The intricate process of hand-selecting each individual batch results in a distinctive flavor profile for each special expression.

These special expressions are the work of Bushmills’ first female Master Blender, Alex Thomas, who has been aging them under a close eye, awaiting them to reach her desired levels of complexity and flavor. Furthermore, each Private Reserve Limited Release boasts a single vintage year in which it was distilled, capturing a specific moment in time. Each whiskey is also non-chill filtered, while holding higher proofs than the core Bushmills range, for a more robust character. Like all Bushmills’ single malts, they are made with 100% unpeated malted barley and the freshest spring water from the river Bush, then triple-distilled in small batches in traditional copper pot stills for that signature smoothness.

The 2025 collection consists of:

10 YO Moscatel Cask Finish (SRP $59.99, ABV 48.5%)
10 YO Amarone Cask Finish (SRP $59.99, ABV 47.3%)
12 YO Bordeaux Cask Finish (SRP $74.99, ABV 47%)
12 YO Tequila Cask Finish (SRP $74.99, ABV 46.6%)
