The Glenrothes has released a new expressio, The 15, a permanent addition to The Glenrothes’ portfolio of prestige whiskies and complement to The 18 and The 25.
The 15 balances the delicate elegance of its new make spirit with the boldness resulting from 15 years of maturation in European oak sherry seasoned casks, delivering a flavor profile of bright sweet spice. Throughout maturation, the quality of the spirit from every cask is routinely nosed and sampled by Laura Rampling, Master Whisky Maker, who personally selects each cask to ensure the bold balance of The 15 is assured.
The Glenrothes uses oak casks, custom made and seasoned to their specification in Spain. The 15 is 100% naturally coloured by the cask, a characteristic trademark of The Glenrothes’ entire portfolio of prestige whiskies.
Bottled at 43% ABV, it carries a suggested retail price of $100.
