Niche Drinks Invests £12m In Quiet Man Distillery

Niche Drinks is taking its Irish whiskey brand, Quiet Man, from a sourced and bottled product to an in-house one by building a £12m distillery in Londonderry, the second-largest city in Northern Ireland. The distillery is slated for completion next year.

When it opens, Quiet Man Distillery will be the first in Londonderry in a century, and is expected to employ 35 people in whiskey-production and its visitor center. The distillery site is located in Ebrington, a former British Army base that is now undergoing redevelopment as a commercial, residential and retail center.
