Chattanooga Whiskey Releases Experimental Batch 007 And 008 Tonight
Chattanooga Whiskey Company, located in the famous choo-choo town in southeastern Tennessee, is set to release their seventh and eight bottlings of experimental whiskey and a sold out party in the distillery tonight.
Batch 007 is a straight rye malt whiskey, aged for over two years in a mix of 25- and 53-gallon barrels, and bottled at 102 proof.
Batch 008 is a straight malt whiskey, also aged for over two years in a mix of 25- and 53-gallon barrels before bottling at 102 proof. However, it has additionally received a finish in the distillery’s own 1816 Bourbon barrels after primary maturation.
