South Carolina’s Dark Corners Releasing “Lost Barrel” Whiskey

Dark Corner Distillery in Greenville, South Carolina is set to release their oldest bourbon to date as well as their first cask strength release, and claims it’s the result of an accident.

The Distiller’s Collection is a barrel proof bourbon aged four years and five month, bottled at 125 proof. It comes from a barrel that has seen a good bit of travel, having been moved from facilities in downtown Greenville, Poinsett Highway, and Rutherford Road, which accounts for its peculiar status. Although not exactly lost, it’s easy to see how it was overlooked for a while.

Dark Corner Distiller’s Collection Bourbon will be released at the distillery on National Bourbon Day, which is tomorrow on June 14th. Only 89 bottles are available.
