A Brooklyn Distillery Adds To The Growing Ranks Of Crafty Bonded Whiskeys
New York Distilling Company, the urban distillery in Williamsburg, Brooklyn has announced the launch of Ragtime Rye Bottled In Bond.
The product of seven years of patience and perseverance, Ragtime Rye Bottled In Bond is New York Distilling Company’s first whiskey expression designed explicitly as an Empire Rye, a new designation that refers to a whiskey distilled, aged, and bottled in New York state that is comprised of at least 75% New York-grown rye. Empire Rye must have a barrel entry proof no higher than 115 and must be aged a minimum of 2 years. Ragtime Rye – Bottled In Bond is 75% Rye, 13% Corn, and 12% Malted Barley. All grains are non-GMO and the rye is expressly grown for New York Distilling Company by Pedersen Family Farm in Seneca Castle, NY.
The new Ragtime Rye Bottled In Bond is expected to hit shelves in the US beginning April 1, and will be available for a suggested retail price of $49.
