Mitcher’s Appoints New Distiller

Michter’s Distillery, LLC is pleased to announce the appointment of Pamela Heilmann as Distiller and Vice President Production.

Ms. Heilmann joins Michter’s with nearly fifteen years of experience garnered at Beam Global, Inc., maker of fine whiskeys like Baker’s, Basil Hayden’s, Booker’s and Knob Creek.  Most recently she was Distillery Manager at the Booker Noe Distillery in Boston, Kentucky.  During her years at Beam, Ms. Heilmann worked directly with former Master Distiller Jerry Dalton. An honors graduate of Columbia College in Missouri, Ms. Heilman formally studied distillation at Alltech Institute of Brewing and Distilling in Kentucky.  Ms. Heilmann said, “I am delighted to be with Michter’s.  As an admirer of Michter’s outstanding whiskeys, I look forward to working with Master Distiller Willie Pratt to produce the most exceptional Rye and Bourbon on the market.”

“Willie Pratt and I are thrilled to have Pam joining the Michter’s team,” said Michter’s President Joseph J. Magliocco.  “She is one of America’s great distillers. Her track record is superb.” Ms. Heilmann will be based in Louisville at Michter’s Shively Distillery. This facility currently has two small pot stills and is awaiting the completion and installation of a 32 inch diameter by 60 foot plus high custom designed copper column still with a copper pot still doubler.
