Bottling company Barrell Bourbon is ready to release their latest expression, Batch 005. This bourbon was distilled in Tennessee, like some other past releases from Barrell Bourbon, but this time from a high rye mashbill. It was aged for 8 years, 3 months and bottled at 124.7 proof. Barrell Bourbon bills it as bold and a must-try for fans of smoky whiskeys.
Batch 006 is also in the works. Drawn from the same stock as Batch 005, the whiskey was aged on lower ricks in the warehouse than 005.
The two new releases will be priced at between $85 and $90 for a 750 ml bottle.
