Dingle Single Malt Batch 4 Comes Over From Ireland

Opened in 2012, the Dingle Whiskey Distillery represents a new generation of distilleries propelling Irish whiskey to the fore. Located in southwest Kerry, Ireland, Dingle is one of the only distilleries that sources grain, distills the spirit, ages and bottles its whiskey for its own exclusive releases. In partnership with U.S. importer Hotaling & Co., Dingle now announces the arrival of Dingle Single Malt Whiskey Batch No. 4, a limited-edition whiskey that will be available in key markets nationwide.

Dingle Single Malt Whiskey Batch No. 4 has been bottled at 46.5% ABV and will retail for $99.99.

The Dingle Distillery distills four casks per day. Each cask is triple-distilled and matured in Dingle where the intrinsic elements of its coastal location create a whiskey distinctive to any other – even previous Dingle Distillery releases. Produced and tended to entirely by hand, this marriage of Bourbon, Sherry (Pedro Ximenez and Oloroso), and Port casks has resulted in a full flavored yet harmoniously balanced mix of creamy vanilla sweetness from the American oak casks, combined beautifully with dried fruit flavors of apricot and sultanas from the fortified wine casks.

“Dingle is a gem of a distillery producing exceptional spirits unique to its location thanks to the unique microclimate of its environment. In this latest limited release, we see a depth and complexity that only time in premium sherry casks can impart.” says Morgan Robbat, chief marketing officer of Hotaling & Co.

“We are delighted to release our Batch 4 Single Malt to the American market,” says Elliot Hughes, business development director for Dingle Distillery. “We are very pleased with this latest expression of Dingle whiskey and we hope that we continue to bring people along as well as finding new people to explore the Dingle Whiskey Distillery journey with us. The marriage of Bourbon, Port and Sherry has certainly had people talking and we believe that pallets will be suitably impressed!”
