Jackson Purchase Releases New Bonded Bourbon
Jackson Purchase Distillery, named for the far Western Kentucky region that hosts it, released its flagship expression in Jackson Purchase Select Batch Bourbon last September. Now the company started by Craig Beam, seventh generation Beam family distiller and former Heaven Hill Master Distiller, and Terry Ballard has a new expression out in the form of Jackson Purchase Bottled in Bond Bourbon.
“Bottled-in-bond is the ultimate test of a distiller’s art as it demands the most consistency to produce a quality product, season after season,” said Head Distiller Terry Ballard. We accepted this challenge to demonstrate the traditional way we make bourbon at Jackson Purchase Distillery, day after day, year after year.”
Beam described Jackson Purchase Bottled in Bond Bourbon as having “A hint of spices, but simple, with just enough touch of oak.” His other tasting notes included, “It’s smooth and easy to drink. Creamy on the back of the pallet with a buttery finish.”
Jackson Purchase Kentucky Select Bourbon carries a suggested retail price of $64.95, while Jackson Purchase Bottled in Bond Bourbon will sell for $49.95.
