Hamilton Distillers of Arizona, makers of Del Bac Whiskey, are now offering a private barrel program. Responding to inquiries from distributors in California and their native state for cask strength versions, the craft distiller responded by introducing a program allowing commercial customers to select their own barrels for their own bottlings.
Like many craft distilleries, Hamilton ages in small barrels, in this case 15 gallon barrels. They expect a barrel to yield 85 bottles at the normal proof and 65 bottles at cask strength.
