Orphan Barrels Unveils 17 Year Old Fanged Pursuit Bourbon
Diageo’s Orphan Barrel brand has released a new ultra-aged bourbon, and for the first time one of the brand’s bourbons is being done without chill filtration, thereby retaining more of the trace oils in the whiskey. Fanged Pursuit is a 17 year old Kentucky bourbon bottled at 92 proof. Interestingly, Diageo offered a grain range for the mash bill behind this bourbon, rather than an aggregate statement.
“Fanged Pursuit is a standout for those who savor the artistry and depth of American bourbon-making,” said Fanged Pursuit Lead Blender Delicia James. “The bobcat proudly symbolizes not only the spirit of the bourbon itself, but also the continuous evolution of the Orphan Barrel collection, highlighting the distinct character of each release and the unique story behind every bottle.”
Fanged Pursuit is priced at $200 for a 750 ml bottle.
