Blue Run Unveils New Flagship Series, Blueprint
Blue Run Spirits has announced that going forward its new standard bearer will be the Blue Run Blueprint Series. The inaugural release, blended by the brand’s Head of Whiskey and Innovation, Shaylyn Gammon, the 105 proof Blue Run Blueprint Series Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey is a combination of two unique mashbills: one wheated, and the other, an experimental mash that pays homage to Blue Run’s boundary-pushing nature.
The two stocks of bourbon were made with an 80% corn, 15% rye bourbon that was laid down during the infancy of the brand. Aged on a lower rickhouse floor, it’s the foundation of the blend. This was combined with an upper floor-aged wheated bourbon.
“When crafting Blue Run releases, I think about the qualities bourbon enthusiasts expect, while also considering how we invite new consumers into the category,” said Gammon. “With the Blueprint Series, the goal was to create a Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey that can serve as a blueprint for discovery—something approachable and soft, yet layered enough to inspire continued exploration”
The new bourbon is priced at MSRP of $69.99 and ships this Friday, May 1st.
