Beam Continues To Build Up Old Granddad With New Age Stated Brand Extenstion

For most of the decade and a half run of the Bourbon Boom, Jim Beam largely neglected three brand names in their portfolio: Old Overholt, Baker’s and Old Granddad. But towards the end of the boom, the company finally got around to introducing new expressions and giving these brands some marketing push. The latest example is a permanent brand expression for the Jim Beam Distillery’s original high rye bourbon expression, Old Granddad.

A classic of the small Old Granddad line has been 114 proof version, and now Beam is building on it with a 7 year old, single barrel version. Old Granddad 114 Single Barrel 7 Year Old Bourbon (what a mouthful!) will be priced at $49.99 per 750 ml bottle.
