High West Kicks Off 2026 With Cask Strength Blended Whiskey
Utah’s High West has both returned to its roots and started its 2026 with a strong kick by releasing a cask strength blend of bourbon whiskeys, released as a limited edition. This is now available for sale at the High West website.
High West got their start as a non-distiller producer (NDP), but at a time when most NDPs in the US were obscuring the nature of their company and the sourcing of their products, High West won fan appreciation for their transparency. The company has long since transitioned to a mix of sourcing and in-house whiskey-making for their products, but not this time. For High West Cask Strength, the company goes back to an entirely sourced blend, drawing on:
-
60% Corn, 40% Malted Barley – Kentucky
-
60% Corn, 40% Rye – Kentucky
-
75% Corn, 21% Rye, 4% Malted Barley – Indiana
-
78% Corn, 10% Rye, 12% Malted Barley – Kentucky
-
84% Corn, 8% Rye, 8% Malted Barley – Tennessee
High West Cask Strength has a proof of 117 and is available for $70.
