Bourbon WhiskeyWhiskey Cocktails
The Maple Bourbon Sour
By Richard Thomas
If you like the new maple bourbons and smile at the adage “when life hands you lemons, make whiskey sours,” then the virtue of this drink ought to become obvious. In fact, if you actually have any maple bourbon on hand then making this simple summer cocktail becomes even easier.
Ingredients
1 shot (1/5 oz or 50 ml) of bourbon whiskey
1 tablespoon of lemons
1 tablespoon of maple syrup
If you have maple bourbon, skip adding the syrup. Mix the contents and serve on ice. It’s that simple. If you want to get a little fancy, add a slice of lemon to garnish. The result is a sweet and sour whiskey bomb that goes down cool and delicious.
