Garrison Brothers Brings Out Balmorhea Bourbon

On the heels of this year’s Cowboy Bourbon release, esteemed Texas distiller Garrison Brothers released a brand new expression, Balmorhea, at the distillery on Friday, October 20.

Balmorhea is the newest Garrison Brothers Handcrafted Experimental. It was aged two years in new, 15-gallon white American oak cooper age from Barrel Mill (22 barrels). After the savage Texas angel’s share was taken, the whiskey was then transferred to a new white 27-gallon Kelvin Cooperage barrel on October 2015 for a second round of maturation and aged another two years. It packs a punch at 115 Proof. Thus it’s a double barrel Bourbon, made in the Texas climate and bottled at cask strength.
