The surging production of American Whiskey has led to substantially increased demand for barrels, and Speyside Cooperage has announced expansion plans. The barrel-making company intends to build additional stave mill and cooperage facilities in Smyth, Washington and Bath counties in Virginia, totaling over $35 million in investment.
