Basil Hayden 10 Year Old Bourbon Coming Out For Autumn Bourbon Season

The third installment of Basil Hayden 10 Year Old is due to come out as part of the autumn bourbon release season, when most of the most anticipated American whiskeys hit the shelves.

When Basil Hayden was first released in the early 1990s as part of the Jim Beam Small Batch Collection, it was an 8 year old whiskey based on the same stock as the “high rye” Old Granddad. Although it has continued to represent a premium, small batch version of that high rye bourbon, it lost the 8 year old age statement several years ago. In 2018, Jim Beam introduced an even older version of Basil Hayden, the 10 Year Old, as an annual, limited edition expression.

Basil Hayden has always been a low proof brand, and the 10 Year Old is too, bottled at 80 proof. It will retail for $69.99.
