The seventh installment of WhistlePig’s Boss Hog series, Magellan’s Atlantic, is poised for release. The new batch is single barrel, cask strength whiskey was aged for 17 years before finishing in two sets: Sherry butts and casks made from teak sourced from South America. Teak is a particularly exotic choice for a whiskey cask; this may be the first time a teak has been used to finish an American or Canadian whisky.
