In keeping with many of the negociant’s releases in recent years, the New Year 2021 bourbon reflects the growing maturity of the craft whiskey sector in America, as it allows on Barrell Craft Spirits to draw on more sources than just those in Kentucky, Tennessee and Indiana.
Barrell Bourbon New Year 2021 is blended from bourbons from seven different states: the usual Indiana, Kentucky and Tennessee; plus Colorado, New York, Texas and Wyoming. The stock was aged 5, 9, 10 and 11 years, and bottled at cask strength. In this case, that yielded 113.9 proof. The new release is priced at the same point as normal Barrell releases: $89.99
