New Riff Expands Single Barrel Program With 6 Year Old Bourbon

Northern Kentucky’s New Riff Distilling’s Single Barrel line has grown, as now 6 year old bourbon barrels are available for selection.

“For years, New Riff has offered an exceptional Single Barrel Experience — intentionality is a cornerstone of everything we do and that ethos certainly extends to the experience we offer to those who choose to pick a barrel with us,” said Mollie Lewis, New Riff President. “We’ve consistently offered single barrels chosen by our team at retail, but the pick experience truly highlights the individuality and character of our whiskeys.”

New Riff barrel pick program includes an educational and engaging barrel selection experience every bit as singular as the barrels themselves. Each Single Barrel Selection Experience includes full tours of the distillery and West Campus, where New Riff houses the rickhouses and bottling hall and hosts single barrel picks in a turn-of-the-century tasting room. After, guests are treated to a post-pick stop at The Aquifer Tasting Room. New Riff is  also one of few distilleries offering fractional single barrels.

Currently, New Riff 6 year old Single Barrel Bourbon is exclusively offered as a single barrel selection by the whole barrel — this extra aged version is not available at retail unless picked as part of a store’s own barrel selection.

New Riff will continue to offer staff-picked single barrel selections at retail, aged 4 years for both bourbon and rye. Consumers may find retailer-picked selections for sale at their favorite shops in both 4- and 6-year offerings.
