Brown-Forman Announces King of Kentucky Small Batch Collection

When King of Kentucky was revived by Brown-Forman, it was conceived as a new entry into the surging market for super-premium bourbon in the United States. The brand therefore took the form of an annual limited edition of an ultra-aged bourbon, released as a single barrel at cask strength, ticking off most of the boxes craved by bourbon diehards and collectors. Now the company is building on the brand with a King of Kentucky Small Batch Collection release.

The Small Batch Collection is conceived as a three-batch series, each bottled at a distinct proof to showcase the complexity of its aging process. This is while sticking to the ultra-aged stature of the King of Kentucky brand.

● Batch 1: 105 proof
● Batch 2: 107.5 proof
● Batch 3: 110 proof

Each batch is a blend of barrels aged 12–18 years. Some barrels had exceptionally high angel’s share, with just 16 percent liquid after years of evaporation.

King of Kentucky Small Batch will be available in limited quantities for a suggested retail price of $299 in select markets nationwide
