Redemption Straight Bourbon Review

Redemption Whiskey is a sourced brand owned by Deutsch Family Spirits, who are best known for Josh wines. Many Redemption expressions have used MGP whiskey from Indiana, and back in the early days of the Bourbon Boom the brand built a reputation for its age stated, mature rye bottlings. These days, Master Blender Alan Kennedy helms the brand, which was recently revamped. The core lineup, including Redemption Straight Bourbon, took on a new look and was consolidated around 92 proof.

The Bourbon
Redemption Bourbon is comprised of 75% corn, 21% rye, and 4% barley. The bourbon is matured in new American white oak casks and is non chill filtered. Redemption Straight Bourbon is bottled at 46% ABV/92 Proof.

Color: Bright Gold

The nose begins with hints of sweet corn, brown sugar, vanilla, and some charred oak. The palate is similar with notes of vanilla, baking spices, charred oak, and is somewhat spicy/peppery. The finish is not longest, but has notes of oak, pepper, and vanilla.
