Cedar Ridge Marks 21 Years With Anniversary Bourbon
Iowa’s Cedar Ridge Distillery, under the direction of Master Blender Murphy Quint, has released the second in its Anniversary Edition series of limited-edition bourbons, the Cedar Ridge Anniversary Edition Bourbon.
“This year’s Anniversary Edition features some truly incredible cask-finished bourbons, including a few I’m working with for the first time. I wanted to keep a similar foundation to last year’s release with sherry and Tokaji finishes, but I chose PX sherry to work with instead of my usual Amontillado. The Madeira and Napa Cabernet casks are what really push this blend in a new direction, says Murphy Quint, Master Distiller.
For this 2026 limited release, created to mark the Distillery’s 21st Anniversary, Quint took Cedar Ridge’s Iowa Bourbon — crafted from a mash bill of 74% corn, 14% rye and 12% malted barley — and finished it in five distinct cask types: Madeira, Napa Cabernet, Pedro Ximenez Sherry, Tawny Port and Tokaji casks, expertly blended to create the second Cedar Ridge Anniversary Edition Bourbon. The release explores Cedar Ridge’s diverse array of finishing casks. It showcases how they can be used together to create an exceptional whiskey — one that celebrates and highlights the distillery’s tradition of whiskey rooted in wine.
This limited edition will be available at the Cedar Ridge Distillery in Iowa, offered online via pre-sale, and at select retailers. The Anniversary Edition Bourbon is bottled at 112 proof and has an MSRP of $64.99 per 750 mL bottle.
