Rabbit Hole Distilling Becomes Louisville’s Newest Distillery

By Richard Thomas

The Derby City got its newest urban distillery earlier this week, when the ribbon was cut at Rabbit Hole Distillery, just in time for the Kentucky Derby.

Rabbit Hole’s $15 million facility is located in the trendy NuLu district, on Jefferson Street. Founded in 2012 by Kaveh Zamanian and started with sourced whiskeys, created with advice from former MGP Master Distillery turned consultant Larry Ebersold. The Master Distillery at the new facility is Cameron Talley, who has a seasoned background as a production manager at both Wild Turkey and Old Forester.
