Iowa’s Cody Road Bourbon And Rye Takes On Aguardente Finish In New Releases

Mississippi River Distilling Company, one of the Four Kings of craft whiskey, is releasing a new installment in their Cody Road X Series. This is an experimental offshoot of their existing Cody Road Bourbon and Cody Road Rye, with the X Series coming out twice per year. The latest installment takes the standard Cody Road whiskeys and gives them a more than two year finish in aguardente vehlo (Portuguese brandy) casks.
