Early Times Introducing A Bottled In Bond

Brown-Forman is expanding the Early Times brand by adding a bottled in bond expression. Introduced in 1940, Early Times is now known as the most recognizable of the “American whiskeys,” or whiskeys that because they are aged in used oak barrels cannot be referred to as bourbon, rye, wheat or malt whiskey. As such, Early Times is labeled “Kentucky Whiskey” in the United States.

The brand extension, however, is not for another Kentucky whiskey, but is instead for a Kentucky bourbon. The new Early Times Bottled In Bond Bourbon is slated for a July release, starting out in Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Michigan and Oregon. It will come in one-liter bottles at a recommended price of $22.99.
