Angel’s Envy To Build Second Distillery, Rickhouses

Not two years have passed since Angel’s Envy opened their distillery in downtown Louisville, and already the maker of Port-finished bourbon is looking to expand. It’s a familiar story in modern bourbon-making, but the twist is that they won’t be expanding at their existing facility, located across the road from Slugger Field.

According to WDRB, Angel’s Envy will build a second distillery and several rickhouses, capable of storing 225,000 barrels of bourbon, in Henry County, Kentucky. The project will begin with the construction of two rickhouses, with the distillery and more rickhouses to follow. Neither Angel’s Envy or Bacardi has commented on the plan, but the documents are available to the public and the necessary zoning change was made last month.
