Russell’s Reserve 13 Year Old 2026 Marks Eddie Russell’s 45th Work Anniversary
Eddie Russell started working at the Lawrenceburg, Kentucky based Austin Nichols Distillery, home of Wild Turkey, in 1981. This year marks his 45th anniversary there, and the company has chosen to mark that occasion with an interesting twist. Rather than releasing a specially concocted limited edition, instead they have decided to make the 2026 release of Russell’s Reserve 13 Year Old Bourbon a commemorative edition.
Moreover, the 2026 Russell’s Reserve 13YO is accompanied by a documentary about Eddie Russell’s career, dubbed His Own Way: The Story of Eddie Russell.
“Russell’s Reserve has always been deeply personal to me. It started as a way to honor my dad and everything he taught me,” says Master Distiller Eddie Russell. “Now, the opportunity to celebrate my own 45 years with a new release of the 13 Year Old – a bourbon that really showcases how I approach the craft – and to see my story shared through this film, is incredibly special.”
This installment of Russell’s Reserve 13 Year Old is 121.2 proof and should retail for $200.
