Wisconsin’s Twisted Path Releases A Bottled In Bond Rye

Milwaukee craft distillery Twisted Path has announced that on March 30 they will release their first whiskey, a rye whiskey that makes Bottled in Bond status. This will be the first Bottled in Bond whiskey coming out of Wisconsin since Prohibition. The whiskey saw its official launch yesterday, Saturday, March 30th, at the Twisted Path tasting room.

“The two bottled-in-bond barrels we are releasing have been aging since I opened the distillery in 2015,” said, Brian Sammons, founder and distiller, Twisted Path Distillery.“Going forward, we’ll have small releases of different whiskies a few times a year. We wanted our first whiskey to be bottled-in-bond as a statement of integrity, but some releases we may want to bottle higher or lower than 100 proof, so they won’t all be designated bottled-in-bond.”

The release consisted of 200 full-size, 750 ml bottle at $65 a bottle, and a half-sized 375 ml bottle at $40.
