Jim Beam Unveils Sunshine

Jim Beam has announced a brand extension, adding a new mass market bourbon: Jim Beam Sunshine. The Sunshine Blend consists of 65% Jim Beam’s classic 4-year bourbon and 35% brown rice bourbon. The mash bill for the brown rice bourbon is 55% corn, 35% brown rice, and 10% malted barley. The brown rice mash bill used in this blend is the same as that utilized in previous releases like Little Book and Basil Hayden, although the exact ratio of corn to brown rice to malted barley is not disclosed. The blend is noted to be a bit sweeter than traditional Jim Beam bourbons, showcasing the brown rice bourbon more prominently. Jim Beam Sunshine is 80 proof and officially priced at $19.99.
